Tovrea castle is a landmark in my everyday driving in my area. It’s a couple of miles away and has a commanding view as it is at the elevation of the raised freeway next to it.
This picture was conceived from a plan to stop on the freeway, grab my already set up camera and take a few quick photographs and get back in the Forester and drive away…
Tovrea castle has been on my visit list for quite some time now. It is an iconic Phoenix landmark built on a hill. It is gated and the public is allowed access via tours from a lottery system that you can register every six months or look at the web site first thing in the morning for released tickets.
