My Nikon FE2 is one of my favorite cameras next to my F3 and D780. As described by professionals, it is an advanced camera for the serious amateur enthusiast. Although still used by professional photographers, I find it really easy to use. It's my backup camera to the F3. This is the one I take fishing on the river and at the beach. Already mine has almost been dunked in the San Juan River when I slipped and fell, it was close but remained unscathed and dry. I've already taken a bunch of really nice photographs with it. Initially, I took it to Tempe Camera for service and a repair. When I bought it, it was damaged internally, probably from mounting a non AI lens breaking the aperture ring. I got it back in good repair, cleaned, lubed and adjusted or CLA. Although it was in good shape, it needed a thorough going over by a professional Nikon repair technician. Until I took it in, the film I got back was deceiving, I thought I forgot how to take photos, the settings were all over the place. Little did I know, the aperture ring was broken internally.

The FE2 is a camera that offers full control over my photography. I often use Aperture priority which I choose the aperture setting and the camera chooses the shutter speed. Or at times I know what shutter speed I want and I’ll use the light meter to check my aperture setting and mash the shutter release! It is such a nice, consistent camera, fully capable of generating the pictures I want.

Below are a few pictures from my FE2.
