Destined for my every day camera as a short, compact Zoom with a Micro focus, I chose this lens for its options and size. It gets a bad rap from Ken Rockwell. I don’t always take his word as the bottom line because frankly, many people like this lens and make great pictures with it.
Already I have a couple of rolls under my belt with it and my experience is with it has been positive.I captured a really nice scene in Flagstaff with the FG. It was my first shot with it before #1 on the counter, the FG won’t PROGRAM the settings so I guessed…
Recently, I purchased the autofocus version of this lens. Although my desires in lenses changes as my photography advances, there is still a desire to use this lens. The AF version will surely augment that desire. AF Nikkor 35-70mm f3.3-4.5 D
I’m really happy to see this post! I got a mint-condition used lens yesterday. I wonder how the photos are if I combine that lens with a Nikon D700.
ReplyDeleteNice! I hope you get some great shots with it. It’s a nice compact lens.
