I have a Nikkor 35-70 f3.3-4.5 AIS and have taken enough pictures to know I like it. A photographer friend listed this one on a social media marketplace and I recognized his name. I told him I would take it and in the meantime, he also looked and had a AF Nikkor 50mm f1.8 D
Purpose: This will be a walk-a-round lens for the D780 but probably more for the F6. There is some overlap with the G lens however, these lens are less prone to electronics failure as the drive mechanism is in the camera.
