I’m off on Fridays, I work 7:30 to 4 Monday through Thursday. 32 hours, it’s about balance for me, work four, off three and I get about 6 weeks off during the year. I take a lot of Thursdays off so it just works out for me. I like to work hard and play hard.
I had chores to do today. My windshield had a couple of stone stars and it was time to replace. The Auto Glass place is in Tempe so it’s a short ride share into downtown and after a black and tan, I walked the twenty minutes to Mill Ave and looked around.
I grabbed the Nikon D780 today because I wanted to try a fish eye lens at Tempe Camera. At the shop I F mounted it on, stood back, focused and took a few snaps. Dang it has a wide angle view! I really want this lens but it’s going to have to wait.
I took a driverless ride into Tempe, it was a 7 min futuristic exercise, $5 and it’s still very dystopian to get into a car driven by computers and cameras.
Cornish Pasty for a black and tan and a half salad, walk the 20 mins to get to Mill Ave and on the way I took some photographs as I ambled into downtown Tempe.
It was a satisfying day of good things, car wash, replaced my cracked windshield, new wipers, a beer, some photos and home, on the couch, one finger pecking the story. Friday afternoon, windy, the Soleri bell dinging, it may sprinkle later, I’m tired, time for a nap.
