Tabletop Tripods

Aoka Carbon Fiber 28” + 15.75” Tripods

I have had many. Plastic, steel, aluminum and my favorite, carbon fiber. I follow a couple of famous and excellent photographers and generally, they have good advice. You can tell if they are selling something but the guys I follow are generally bigger than that. They will talk shit where needed and I appreciate it.

I can’t remember the guys name, I don’t think he is a blogger, maybe he is but the tripod I ended up buying ended up exactly (fantastic) as this guy said.

Let me see if I can find the review.

Found it, David Low of Ridgelineimages.com A Japanese hiking site. I don’t follow this guy, I just got the tip about the Aoka from him. I already have a Smallrig carbon fiber tripod, too heavy to hike with and my Tiltall which is more of a studio tripod that I sometimes car trip with. I need/want a tripod for my phone mostly but that can do double duty in the field holding my ad780 and a not to big of a lens duties.

I sat there contemplating which tripod to get, the smaller Smallrig, the Oben or the Aoka. I went with the Aoka, I can use it in a pinch in the field as a primary tripod. It’s just tall enough to use while sitting on my field tripod stool. I loved this tripod so much that I bought the smaller one to use for my phone and or when I want to carry a tripod in my camera bag.
