What a great lens! I really like it and it’s really a short throw wide angle zoom, specialized for sure. I bought it for a song, and I wanted a wide angle lens for fishing that I could also do close up but wide-angle pictures. I’ve only used it for film but I’m sure I’ll also enjoy it on my D780.
Because this was not a mass-produced lens, the lens hood is rare. I was not able to pull the trigger on one at eBay for $40. It was dented and the set screw was bent. I could have fixed it and finally I was going to buy it, but it was sold when I went back to purchase. I searched out another one and found it mint for $25 delivered. There were others for more than $100 so someone didn’t do their homework before listing the one that I purchased.
