Nikon AF DC-Nikkor 105 f2 D
s/n: 400313
Apparently this lens is designed to enhance bokeh. There is a mechanism that matches the aperture settings forward on the lens, A zero point then a F and R, front and rear area of bokeh to set. I don’t know how it works right now but as I write this, I’m going to look for the manual and read it and figure it out by using the lens. FAFO, my wife taught me that term.
I’m going to look for the manual or tutorial.
The link to the manual is below.
I’m going to pause writing the piece and study the manual.
I found the manual! I couldn’t wait to try it…
My son got home from his shift as a server. This is a new job for him, he is eighteen and he’s doing good. He worked for four hours and made like two hundred dollars, not bad but he’s tired, and hungry. So I made him some macaroni and cheese, the camera and lens going with me to the kitchen as I wait for the water to boil. Boom, there is a shot with the spoon, bokeh and Mac! Yeah, this is going to be fun figuring this out. I didn’t touch the defocus control.
I’ll take it out tomorrow and mount it on the D780.
I’m not a professional photographer. I do not say that to belittle myself. I’m not concerned what you think of my photos at all. I do what I do for fun.
By the time I retire, I’ll sell my photos. At that point, I’ll still consider myself an amateur.
