Ok I’ve got some time behind it. I really like this lens. It’s sharp, the wide angle is useful and the long end pulls your subject close enough that it is useful. I recently took it on a long weekend traveling in the country. I paired it with a 80-400mm and I never took the 80-400mm out of the backpack. I’ve owned a 28-300mm and that is a certainly nice lens however, I feel like this lens is a better choice for me paired with the 80-400mm. If I need more telephoto, then I have the length. I brought an 18mm with me and did use that a few times. I could have gotten away with not bringing the 18mm but I did want a wide angle prime to work with.
I could easily travel with this one lens and feel comfortable.

This is a place that I’ll detail the use of this lens for me. I want examples on hand of what my lens and cameras do and I definitely have those examples below.
