The Book Gallery has two locations, Phoenix and Mesa. Both are excellent and nearly the same atmosphere. Both locations are great for foot traffic as shopping for other types of stores are within very close proximity. Give yourself a couple of hours to go here. I know both shops well and some of my trips are very specific searches for a narrow search yet both locations are so much fun to just get lost in browsing…

I’ve been visiting the Book Gallery for at least 30+ years. I know I was going there in the 90’s. I kinda know the owner, Mike. I’ll ask him when he opened. I know he has moved a couple of times…
Old used book stores have a certain feel, a look, a smell. A mix of wood, old paper, books, a slightly musty smell. It’s a familiar smell no matter where the store is. I can smell a good bookstore.
The Book Gallery is obviously my favorite.
