October 23, 20 The Mountain Tour
The Gorillaz are one of my favorite bands. Probably my favorite but anytime I mention a favorite band, I feel like I must mention the Clash. Funny, two members of the Clash played with the Gorillaz on their first time (the tour) through Phoenix. If you don’t know anything about them, I’m really not the one to tell you.
In short, this is the third time I’ve seen them. They played here on these dates. October 26, 2010: Escape to Plastic Beach Tour, September 26, 2022: World Tour, October 23, 2026: The Mountain Tour
Somewhere, there music is in my adventures wether it is at home, or driving to work, on a cross country road trip or on a plane, I’m all excited to listen.
The Gorillaz feature other musicians in their music and on tour. As mentioned, two members of the clash, Bobby Womack, Robert Smith, to many to mention, MF.Doom, Lou Reed and Hollywood actors too like Bruce Smith in the STYLO music video and Dennis Hopper.
Deltron 3030 were one of the opening bands and they are featured in the Gorillaz music.
Little Simz opened the show. Such a wonderful black female rapper/artist. I’m going to get some of her music. I’ve learned a lot about music from the Gorillaz, Octavian, a French rapper for one…
