I found mine by accident. I was taking in image files to be processed into prints and there it was in the case.
“May I see that lens?”
The tag was marked $25 and at that moment I decided to buy it. I didn’t know then if it was AI or AIS but I did know it was a bargain. I got it home and cleaned it and knew I had purchased the best deal in all of my equipment.
The first time I used it was on my D780 and the results were just as good as I thought. I used it inside and it was easy to focus and I enjoyed the pictures I got from it.
It’s a lens that I will always have in my bag. DSLR or film, the Nikkor 28mm f2.8 AI is a nice sharp lens.
