AF-S Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 D

I love wide zooms! I have the AF-S Nikkor 14-24 f2.8 G ED FX, the AF Nikkor 20-35mm f2.8 D and the AF-S Nikkor 28-70mm f2.8 D and now the AF-S Nikkor 17-35 f2.8 D! Each has a distinct purpose but I’m going to focus on this lens for a while, I really like it and I want to get to know it better.
The target body will be my F6, a 35mm film camera that is simply amazing. I did research online for a good lens, a wide zoom for the F6 and this lens came up in a couple of returns. I will mount it to my DSLRs to see what it does but it’s definitely going with me to the desert looking for rock art and vistas.
The above images are from a visit to the Razor Emporium. The D610 is also new to me and I’m getting to know this camera. The AF-S Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 D is not really the target for the D610 however the experience of using a new lens on a new camera body is an experience in of itself. The lens feels familiar and I can tell that I’m going to love using it.
